Hi, does anyone know of away to convert midi files into wav format? I've got
a bunch of hims that are in midi format, and I'd like to turn them into wav
files, and then make an audio cd out of them.
Thanks.

You want the timidity package
http://www.goice.co.jp/member/mo/timidity/dist/download.html
You will also want a decent patch set (timidity can read soundfonts now, so you can use a high quality ones of those if you prefer.
Once its installed and configured, you want
timidity -id -Ow filename
That'll generate you a wav file.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Aaron

The TiMidity program has options to do that.

I believe TiMidity was originally designed to do midi to wav conversion
because it could run on slow machines. It's a very powerful package with
many interesting utilities.
