Hi, Matt!
Do you know that trplayer doesn't pick .pls extensions? Realplayer does, but
Trplayer doesn't.
Regards,
Victor

Victor -
I wrote a script that pulls the URL out of a .pls file and passes it to
trplayer. As long as a .pls file only refers to a single source, that
works okay. My script is called "getstream" and I just used that name in
my .mailcap file.
Chuck.

You can bring any calculator you like to the midterm, as long as it
doesn't dim the lights when you turn it on.

Hi
This is odd, I can play pls files just fine with it. I'm using
version 1.0.1, although I usually use freeamp for the mp3 stuff.
I couldn't play them with 1.0.0, however.

Can one just do realplay file.pls and it would play, or does realplayer not
accept command line parameters? I've tried invoking it directly and it says
can't set x display, which is good because if it went in to x-windows, I'd
have to do a dirty kill of all x-window processes from another virtual
terminal, if one can even alt f2 to another text terminal.
What would one do if you buy a system, one of those valinux ones with x set
to start by default? Or your distribution sets itself up to start x when
you don't want it to, as their systems from specs I read come with redhat.
Are work stations just another name for a regular computer, or do they need
to be networked with something to work?
