Is that still a dirty word, or is it useable with Speakup or anything?

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.

As far as I am told it runs under X-Windows with Orca.
I doubt it will ever run with speakup.

Regards, Kerry.

Unless speakup becomes an X screen reader instead of a textmode-only
screen reader, OOo will never work with it.

X screen reading options such as Orca might give you some results,
however.

To my way of thinking, and my recollection of history, Open Office has
never been a dirty word. I include the dustup in Massachusetts when I
say "history."

Put simply, much of OO is very usable. I use it to do real work. Of
course, that's with Orca, and not Speakup, as it's a gui application.

Ok, we'll speak more about this offline, and thanks.
