I have downloaded the Fedora 2 isos. Using Nero in windows, what do I
need to do to make these disks. boot from the cd drive at startup?

I haven't read this pae in a while, but as I recall it said something like 
" how to create a cd from these images is beyond the scope of this 
article"  Which really doesn't answer this person's question.  If you're 
running xp, it is easy.  Just right click the file and go to create cd. 
If not running xp, I'll have to do some looking for you as I haven't run 
Nero in a long time.

You may be able to find this information from the debian installation guide
www.debian.org.  Keep in mind that what you're doing is creating a cd with an
immage not a cd containing an iso immage.Using Nero I remember you don't use the
wizard.  You do create a data cd, but you want it to come up as a forign immage.
If you can brows the cd and find a bunch of files on it and not an iso, it
works.  To make it bootable,  you have to also ensure your bios is set to boot
from cd first if available then boot from harddrive.

You may also be able to use F8 or another F-Key to select the CD-Rom as a
boot up device.  It works well on my system, and I have never had to change
my BIOS.

word disks. Of course that makes the following sentence an incomplete
sentence as it lacks a verb.

Sorry. I read a meaning as if he'd created the disks and needed to boot.

Hi Monte:

Did this only six weeks ago, which is how long I've been using linux; so I'm 
a real newby.

Okay, I take it you know exactly where the four fedora II iso image disks 
are. Open up nero; right arrow over to "recorder"; down arrow to "burn ISO 
image. From there, essentially just follow the prompts to create the four 
CDs you'll need. I'm going to assume that you're familiar with nero; in any 
case, I'm not going to do a nero tutorial here; I'll work with you off list 
if it comes to that.

Now, there is an installation howto on the speak-up page; I had a sighted 
friend here and an elementary school buddy (Bill Acker) on the phone helping 
me with the installation, but it can be done independently, and Bill has 
always represented that he's willing to talk folks through it over the 
phone, evenings and weekends.
