Hi all,
How can I obtain original config files for Debian in case I mess something up other than re-installing the software?
>From now on, I'll make a copy of every single one before making any changes to it.
In particular, I messed up the /etc/apt/sources.list file so currently I can't update or upgrade the system.

Many thanks in advance!
Ned

Try googling for the appropriate file names. THat's what I'd do.

To re-create sources.lst, run apt-setup then make any changes to that file if
necessary.Keeping a coppy is always good. I sould mention that running
apt-setup will simply add listings to your already messedup sources.lst file so
just comment out the messed-up lines by placing the # simble at the beginning of
the line.
