Hello again. It's time for more problems to occur. This time, while attempting to install Gentoo, the first sort of prompt I get, the computer speaker beeps. The only thing you get to do is push enter. I've also, with sighted help confirmed that there is no, shall we say, "Boot prompt" on either of the 2004.3 isos. Help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

I booted off the 2004.3 minimal live CD a bit ago and got a boot prompt
just fine. I then typed gentoo speakup_synth=txprt and I got transport
talking when the installer started.
