Hello. I've been away from this list for a while but have some time to post
here again.
I just installed the FC3 onto a machine and it went well. I had the hardest
time downloading the images because even though they seemed to download
correctly they did not pass the check. At the time I did not have a Linux
box to do any md5 sum checks so had to burn them to cd from Windows and then
just try the install. I finally just ordered the cds from Cheapbytes.com.
My question is what are people's thoughts on setting up torrents for the FC3
iso images? I'd be willing to seed them. This would lessen the load on
linux-speakup.org. I also have not been able to connect to
ftp.octothorp.org so having a torrent of the isos would help in situations
like that.
Many thanks.

Sounds Great Raul, that would be very helpful I think.

I can certainly do that Kirk. The problem is I do not have an official FC3
iso image set since I was having trouble downloading them from speakup and
from octothorp because speakup was not online or was too slow and octothorp
has not been online from my end for about a month now.
I ended up getting them from cheapbytes. So, if I make iso images from the
4 cd set I got the md5sum would no doubt be different.

I will speak with Bill about creating the appropriate torrents for his
images. I'm not sure that they are all necessary or just the
boot/root CD.
I suppose we should do it for the debian sarge CD of Shane's as well
and if the Slackware folks are interested them too.

Since slackware is running their own tracker to distribute the
official isos which have speakup in them as torrents, I really don't
see the point of creating slackware torrents of our own on the speakup
site. Just my $.02 worth.

I agree here. In fact, I downloaded the 10.1 isos using torrents and am now
a seeder as well for them.
