Folks,
I was trying to find a way to take the audio from a dvd movie using
mplayer and send it to sox so it could be saved as a mp3 or ogg file. I
couldn't find a means to do this so does anyone have any suggestions?
tnx
Scott

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.
Scott,
You can create a wav file from MPlayer by using an option like this:
-ao pcm:file=yourfilename.wav
You will probably want to use other options too. Then use sox to take it
from there.
BTW, my wave editor, wedit, will do this kind of thing automatically if
you have enough memory to hold the wav file.
