Hi all.
In a message I got from Phil, he says the accent pc will work on anything from an old xt machine up to a pentium. Does this mean that I wouldn't be able to use it in a machine with an isa slot and an 1.10 GHz celeron cpu? Thanks.

I think you could use it in that type of machine. As long as long as the
isa bus is running at 8 mhz.
Explorer has caused a general protection fault in module kernel32.dll. I'm
sick of Winblows!

Hi Greg,
I just finished reading Phill's message and what he means when he is talking
about the xt, 286, 386, 486, and pentium is that you can turn it into an
external synth. Like I have a 486 here with no processor, no ram, and no
disk drives. I can put the accent pc in that, bc all it needs to do is
power the isa card. Then my linux box can be atached to the synth through
the srial port on the card, thus making it an external synth.

Thanks. How do I find out what speed my isa bus runs at? I was under the impression that they all ran at 8 MHz in the older and newer machines.

I'm pretty sure it defaults to 8mhz unless you have some crazy setup.

Greg,
I am pretty sure it'll work and he even told me that you could take the
Accent-PC and plug it into a mother board with no ram or cpu and
configure it to be a serial synth. I apparently has a serial port on the
back of the card. All you need is the board and the supply for the card
to get power.
That is pretty neat I must say.
