Sounds like Debian. Can't you point the net installer at testing
from the start? I thought there was a way to do that, possibly editing
sources.list from another console before all the downloading starts?
*Seems* doable... Wish I could help more.

Hello list,
When I install, i have to install stable, then use ssh to edit sources.list, and change to testing. then update, and dist-upgrade again.
This is rather slow on my connection. Is there any way to switch to testing at install?

Thanks,

If you're booting and installing from floppies, I was thinking that
they could be edited to point at testing before startup. Sounded like
you might, if you're doing a net install. <shrugs> Sorry I mentioned
it. <grins>

you can use like alt+f2 to go to console mode. then change, if it's tset up
the way I think it might be.

The net install is done from cd these days. I doubt floppy images are
still available, though they might be, I haven't checked.
