Hello folks: For those of you waiting on a working DECTalk Express
driver for 2.6.20 and above I checked in a redesigned driver this
afternoon. It does not have read all mode and I won't work on
reinstating that until we have the git repository speakup version
working correctly.

Hello Sane: If you are using a version of the kernel prior to 2.6.20
your driver is fine. The problem only should up with the 2.6.20
kernels. Whether the debian patches brought that kernel up to an
affective 2.6.20 kernel I don't know. The problem only shows up at
load time when it can't locate the DECTalk Express because of
interrupt handler changes of some sort.

Hi, Now that the dectalk express driver is fixed would it be possible to
update the rpms for fedora core 6 to 2.6.20 with this new driver? I am
currently running 2.6.19 as downloaded from speakupmodified.org and it works
fine but like to keep my system as updated as possible. Do you usually make
announcements when a new rpm of the fedora kernels are released and if not
what is the easiest way to check? What is this read all mode?
