Hello,
When I try to connect with ssh, it says
this program hs been disconnected from the server:
reason: unable to authenticate using any of the authentication methods.
How do I specify an authentication method known to my program?
Thanks,

damn dude, starting the sshd is the most simplest nondestructive
thing in the linux os. and you are having so much trouble with it.

did youu go muk around with a conf file or something, not knowing
what you were doing, if so I'm not surprised.

as far as i know it authenticates you from the current users on the
system, this is why I don't know why you have had so many issues with
it. what files if any did you change so we may fix this issue for you.

Damn Dude, Can you be a little more nice? Not everyone has the same
level of expertise or in your case, lack of expertise.

With sshd you can specify what type of authentication tokens it will
accept. While it's true that mucking around with the conf file can really
tork things up you can at least be more nice about it.

Hay,
Thanks for the support,
I didn't really have the time to write this out, because I was going to get
a shower,
about 1 or so years ago, this blind tech came to me, and told me that he was
a hacker fresh out of prison. My intrests lied in the same field at the same
time, though not in the exact same area. I was interested in learning about
exploits and such, because they just sounded interesting to me. They always
have, and still do. I have learned that those "hacking sites" don't give you
much info, but, I am still interested in learning, because in my mind, to be
a good programmer, you have to know how everyone works and thinks, including
those who you must work against. Anyway, we talked for a while, and this guy
got pissed because I wouldn't give him the source code to one of my progs,
and told me I was a f*cking idiot. Every sense then, he has been on my case,
on three or four different lists. So, I would like to ask for this list to
please excuse the phoney hacker blind tech. I didn't know it then, and have
learned a lot sense now, but if he was really "fresh out of prison." he sure
as hell wouldn't be on the nets.
Anyway, please excuse my short outbursts, it jsut gets a bit irritating
having him around sometimes, and I wish I new some tricks to silence him.
Anyway, can someone tell me where the config file is hidden?
Thanks,

If you're referring to the config on the server, it would be under
/etc/ssh in debian.

So, why not just ignore me, and let those on this list learn for themselves,
Gabe, by acting like a total idiot, your making yourself look really stupid
on this list.
If I ever give those on this list reason to believe what you state to be
true, then they will to have reason to treat me as you do, but as I haven't,
you have no reason to treat me as you do on list or off list.
