Hi, I have a windows system I can telnet from to access the linux system, If
I wanted to install fc4 could I boot from the floppies and use the telnet
installation method to access the installation as was possible in redhat 9?
Could I download the iso images to my windows system and install from them
or do I need to do a net install if I want to reformat the harddrive? bye

You cannot boot the Fedora Core installation from floppy. However, you
can boot from either cd rom or usb device (including memory stick), and
you can certainly install over telnet.

Didn't I just post on this subject?

At the Boot> prompt:

text telnet ip=[ip.address] netmask=[netmask]
gateway=[gateway.ip.address]

Ping the [ip.address]

When it responds, telnet there and proceed as usual.
PS: If you have multiple ethernet devices, you will also need to
specify:

ksdevice=[ethernet.device]

e.g.

ksdevice=eth1

If you're on a network with DHCP you could also do "text
telnet dhcp" at the boot prompt.
