redhat 7.3installation

HI all.  I seem to be getting the error that a few other people
reported last week when installing the redhat 7.3 from the iso images
on the ftp site where the installation crashes immediately after
selecting the keyboard.  when I try and select the speakup or speakup
lt keyboards, anaconda exits with an error.  I am booting from a boot
disk and not from the cd and can't figure a way around this one.  I
guess I oculd try another system but wonder if anyone has gotten around
it.

Make a bootable CD and install using it.

It is better to give than to receive. don't believe me, just ask a boxer.

Hi Brian,

     I have opposite advice for you on this.  Leave the CD out of the
machine.  That will force the installation stuff to get the keyboard from
the floppy.  Then, select a CD installation and insert the CD when it's
asked for.  Please let me know if this works.  I broke something badly,
but I can't find it.

Brian:

While Bill figures this out, here's what worked for me. I created
a bootable CD ROM using the boot.img floppy image and booted from
it.

You may also want to try booting your floppy without the CD ROM
in your system. In other words, leave the CD ROM drive door open
while you boot. If this works, please let us know.

Hi bill,  yep, that worked.  now if I could figure out which boot loader etc
I was selecting, that would be really cool.  will have to play with it but I
will have to download and burn disk 1 again since when it got to installing
packages, it got stuck on the zlip compression library.

will do it again to night.
