Appoligies accepted on this end. Did you eventually get your system
installed?

No, and Rsync looks so daunting. I'll google around to see how to use it.
Only thing is, ftp will be used in any case to get the file from Linux to
Windows, because I have no CD burner in Linux.
Thanks,
Nick

OK. No problem.
The man page for rsync is actually very well written and full of good
examples of how to use rsync. I would start there and focus on the
principles and just a few examples for starters.
By the way, you're less likely to have corruption moving files on your
local system via ftp--but still do an md5sum before you burn, and then
on the cd rom after you've burned it. That's the only way to be sure
you're working with clean content. If it hangs after that, then we do
have a problem with the installer.
Good luck.

Most certainly accepted. Thank you.
PS: I've had to say this on this list a few times myself.

Hello all. I would like to take this time and apologize for the post I sent last night. In a rage, I didn't think before I acted,
and this has caused unnecessarry harm to some members, both current and former ones on this list. The person who I complained
about last night about taking Linux on and off of his system has called me and we have discussed this matter. I don't want this
thread to go beyond this, and I would like everyone to simply forget about this and let's just get on with things. I appreciate
the fact that I could vent here, however this was simply not the place to do it. Again, I wish to apologize and please, let's just
move on with things and forget this ever happened.
Jes

Sorry for my off topic post to Amanda--I intended it to send it to her
only. I'm not sure what happened.
