Hi.
I am running Slackware 8.1, and I am having a real problem installing some
software. Slackware comes with the RPM utility, but whenever I try to install
an RPM package, it tells me I am missing a number of dependencies that I know
for a fact are on my system. For example, I tried to install emacspeak. I
downloaded the RPM and it gave me about 6 or so error messages about failed
dependencies. I then downloaded the .tar.gz package and built the source code.
It worked just fine, and I hadn't installed the dependencies, as I knew they
were already on my system. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to
install these RPM files?
Thanks,
Lorenzo

He Blesses the Hell out of it. It is a Wholly Holy Holy-Water Cannon.
He has it pierced. It is a Holey Wholly Holy Holy-Water Cannon.
He makes it official. It is a Canon Holey Wholly Holy Holy-Water Cannon.
Batman and Robin arrive. He shoots them.
