Can anyone tell me if there are Linux equivalents for MSN messenger and
AOL Messenger, and if so, where can they be gotten from?
Thanks.

My favourite MSN Messenger client is Pebrot:
http://pebrot.sourceforge.net
There are several AIM programs, including pork and naim. I really don't use
either of those all that much since all my buddies are on MSN, so I'm not
exactly sure of the web sites, but they are available as Debian packages, which
is how I know about them.
Cenericq is a good program if you want both AIM and MSN in one program. It is
slightly more complicated to navigate than Pebrot, but it works. It can be
found at:
http://konst.org.ua/centericq

Oh, and if you're a fan of irc, and want to keep everything in the same
client, try bitlbee, available at,
http://www.bitlbee.org
This supports msn, yahoo, jabber and the oscar protocol.
Thanks,
Arthur.
