Hello list,
I want to set up ftp and samba accounts to a drive that is mountable and owned by root.
Is there a way to put everyone in one group, so that they can all view the same directory, and download from it. and then set the group as the owner of the directory, and all of its sub contents, including all sub directories, and all of its contents?

Hello,
I think I'm answering my own question by digging around a bit.
I'm using useradd to add the group, and etc. then I just do a -R with chgrp.
to do it recursively. I've got things to work so far. We'll just have to see
how it works with ftp and apache.
