hello where on the speakup site does it tell how to get a software synth working with speakup?
I see no instructions on how to get it working.
I see that it supports it but see no instructions etc.
thanks

This is regretably correct. No one has written such a document.

I would suggest reading through the archives of this list from earlier
this year, especially the period April through June.

Perhaps you can create the HOWTO for the next person who comes along
with this problem as you figure it out.

The archives are the *first* link on the page linked to at the bottom of
*every* message sent to this list.

Absolutely. They're a veritable treasure troves of information. You can
read by date, by thread, by author. Only problem is that you can only
bring up one calendar month at a time--but one has to draw the line
somewhere, I suppose.

Go to:

http://speech.linux-speakup.org/mailman/listinfo/speakup

Or, just go to the Speakup home page and navigate from there:

It used to be possible to download a raw mbox file with the whole
archive, for importing into a MUA for searching, and that proved very
useful. Wonder why that's not there anymore.
