For speakup debian on Shane's web page there's a kernel patch for 2.6.18
if I'm not mistaken. Is that patch used to update 2.6.18 or is it
intended to bring a kernel up to 2.6.18 if it's something like 2.6.12?

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.
Hi, There is a kernel source package for 2.6.18 with speakup already patched
in. If you want to patch speakup into a kernel source tree use the checkout
script but the kernel at people.debian.org/~shane and the sources are
already patched.
