I have a new laptop that I have to install linux onto. I noticed that
the test release of fedorea contains gnome 2.6 and the 2.6 curnel. Are
there any stibility issues with the test release of fedora, and will I
have to reinstall to upgrade to the latest stable release or will the
updating tool take care of that? Appreciate any info.

Hi,
The entire purpose for a test release is to find (and eliminate) stability
issues, along with any other errors/omissions. Fedora core 2 should be
fairly close to release now, which usually means that "most" problems have
been addressed. Most things can be updated with yum, with the exception of
the kernel. You'll still have to manually obtain the patched with speakup
kernel, or patch your own.
Regards,
Cecil
