Hi guys,

Hope everyone is well this evening/morning/afternoon *smile*

I want to throw gentoo 2004.3 on an 800mhz box I got over here, but I can't
find a speakup modified gentoo liveCDLooking around on the liveCD, I see
speakUP, or something similar, but it's not ltlk, which is what I need since
I have a doubletalk.

Thanks for any ideas.

Take care,
Sina

Its been a while since I installed my Gentoo system,
so this might not work.
try the following:
insert the livecd. at the boot prompt, type:
gentoo speakup_synth=ltlk
You may need to add speakup_ser=x where x is whatever port
the synth is on, starting from 0 (com1 under
dos or windows).

Yes, that's how it works, at least with 2004.2.

Well, we can add 2004.3 to that list as well.

Thank you for your response.

Take care,
Sina
