When i am on line and using lynx, I get dropped after about 10 minutes or
so.
This happens when i am trying to fill out a form, how can i make this
crazy thing stay on line?

Sounds like your ISP's timing out your connection after an idle period of
about 10 minutes. While you are filling your form, there's no activity on
the dial-up connection. Do something to keep it alive, for instance, have
your pop client poll for mail every thee minutes or so. Remember that,
while you are filling a form, answering an email letter, or the like, no
data are sent over the connection until you 'submit'.

Hmm. ... You're probably getting dropped by your ISP's idle timer. Try
running fetchmail as a daemon with
set daemon 300

This will make fetchmail check your mail every 5 minutes once you start
fetchmail running. To stop fetchmail, type
fetchmail -q

Make sure you have execute permission set on your .fetchmailrc

Whatever for? .fetchmailrc is a configuration file, not a
program. The only permission requirement is that .fetchmailrc may not be
readable by anyone other than the owner.

Hell if I know, but when I didn't, fetchmail bitched at me for not having
permissions set to execute. <Shakes head in bewilderment>
