Hi all,
I've just made my purchase of TTsynth, but i am having problems installing it on my Debian Lenny system. I cannot seem to find the libstdc++2.10 package with apt-cache. Where can I get this?
Many thanks,
Christian

Hi,
The bad news is that it appears that libstdc++2.10 is not in Lenny. The
good news is that the version from Etch should install just fine. Here is
a link to the Etch package:
ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/g/gcc-2.95/libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-27_i386.deb
Let me know if you have any further problems.
Geoff.

Hello!
Thanks! I was just trying to install my copy of ttsynth myself.
How do you install a .deb package? I've never done such a thing before.
Also, thanks again for the great help with php, apache and my sql.
If you know how to set up a mail server as well, it would be very great.
/Kristoffer

Hi Kristoffer,
You install a deb package like this:
dpkg -i packagename.deb
All the best,
Christian

Hi Geoff,
I installed Ttsynth successfully now. However, i was not able to select it from the orcas preferences. I dont know if it was that i just restarted the whole system but i downloaded the gnome-speech ibm rpm from ttsynth.com and then i was able to select ttsynth from Orca. Is this correct?
Also, i am not able to play other sounds while I am using Ttsynth. I can play other sounds when using Espeak.
All the best and thanks,
Christian
