i dont know about redhat but on slakware
you get a program called pppsetup that
asks you questions about your host and dns and such to configure the pppoptions
and dialup scripts as well
as creating chap and pap secrets files if your host uses that authentication method
look in /usr/sbin/ppp* to see if theres a pppsetup and ppp-off and otehr ppp related stuff

If you need, you can even find the rpm of pppsetup...
It's even distributed with the masqdialer server, a tool that lets anybody on
the net call the provider with a client, and naturally it exists even in
command line form...
Ciao Massimiliano

Hi,!
I am getting lots of headaches with the DoubleTalk LT configuration file.
Yes, I have gotten already-written configuration, twicked it a bit. However,
I cannot shut the speech up with a control key. It takes at least 1 minute
for the buffer to be cleared. Do you know if it is the SVLPro problem or
something is wrong with my file? Also, the key interruptions don't work
correctly. Say, if I read a line and then go to another line, it takes
couple of seconds for the DoubleTalk to clear the buffer and start speaking
the new line.
Can you please help?
Regards,
Vic
