I've heard this complaint before.
Either Explorer doesn't work very well,
or it's not obvious how to make it do what you want.
For this reason and others, I have
made all my files available via my ftp site.

actually, you can download anything you wish through ie even from ftp
sites. if there is a particular problem, I can help to solve it but
basically, you need to right click on the file and select save target
as.

Hi
Does this download in binary mode? I knew about right clicking but it never
crossed my mind that it would prevent the corruption of the file.

yes, you can right click on a link to a binary file and choose save
target as from the context menu and it will download the file intact.

Yes, just like in windows explorer, when you right click on an object, you
get a menu of options.

The solution is to use Linux to download your files with one of the
many excellent programs available for that purpose.

Hi
Yes, your probably right but I haven't been able to configure my newly
installed Slackware 8 installation to handle mail so I don't have access to
provided URLs. Not only that currently, I can navigate the web easier under
Windows than in Lynx under Linux.

Either Explorer doesn't work very well,
or it's not obvious how to make it do what you want.
For this reason and others, I have

I go to the redhat webpage and try to unsubscribe.
Asks me to enter password but do not have one.
Click on forgot password thinking it'd send me one but no.
So i can not get off the fuckin' list.
OOps, maybe that will get me unsubscribed.
