The default dict.conf comes with two servers specified, localhost and dict.org. It says the initrc script will scan /etc/dict for local dictionaries, but on my system that directory is empty. So perhaps it makes sense for users to populate that directory with appropriate dictionaries. I put Chris's server in the dict.conf file as #2, and it works fine. But other servers would be nice to have in a pinch. Chuck -- Chuck in Ghent, northeast of Hudson on the Hudson.
