So here's my suggestion: anybody who is having trouble with this particular site might try changing FTP-Passive to TRUE in your lynx.cfg. Of course, I was having trouble with ftp in lynx in general, but on my laptop, where I had no other ftp problems, I also could access speakup without changing PASSIVE to TRUE. Why this would be necessary for one computer on a network and not another I can't say, but it might make the speakup site work for some people. Remember to type the url just as typed--don't put an ftp. after the ftp:// or it won't work. Hth somebody. -- Cheryl "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
