Hi folks, I wonder if anyone has any thoughts?
I use a perl sdcript called rip (http://rip.sourceforge.net) to to take
stuff from cds to ogg. However, sometimes, the resulting tracks have the
correct length in terms of time, but are perfectly silent. The strange
thing is, quite often the first track or two on the disk works, then
nothing else. This is not on all disks, and the disks are, in general, at
least 8 years old. They play just fine both in aw cd player and on my
computer.
I'm puzzled by this and want to get the music onto my hard drive.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Oh yes, I tried just ripping to wav files using both cdparanoia and
cdda2wav, with similar results.
Cheers.
