List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: It's been a while since I did anything with redhat but I think you may be able to include the word rescue on the boot line you use to make everything talk. If you do that, the install program should be prevented from running. If all goes well you'll be put into a basic linux shell in which you can try to run the fdisk /dev/hdb command.
