Subject: mail timeout problem
Date: Fri, 23 Dec 2005 19:46:00 -0800 (PST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.44.0512231933530.1247-100000@localhost.localdomain> (raw)
Bill White has a linux problem and since he is not on this
list I am going to have him dictate his question and problem.
I am using fetch mail as root to poll pop3.cnc.net with pop 3 protocol.
If I receive a message of over three hundred k, I receive the message but
the server times out during retrieval. The poll is interrupted and the
long message is left on the server. When fetching in verbose mode, it
sshows that the server timed out before the delete command could be
issued.
Could this be a configuration problem with my system and if so, how do I
correct it? If it is not my system what do I ask concentric?
concentric//xo communications does not support linux and doesn't care
about the proboem. They have told me to use windows which they say works
fine. Since I am not running windows I can't check that.
If you would like to answer on the list, that will be fine. However if
you would like to write to me my email address is
mailto:billw11@concentric.net
Thanks in advance for your help.
love,
Diana & the Magical Fuller Brush
