Hello, Bill. Your last post has me mystified as to what you are referring 
to.  Yes, I use allot of x-windows, and nowhere did I ever state that the 
system need to be restarted to start x-windows.
All I stated to Ron was that he may like to have to options one for a 
normal 
startup and one for speakup. That is helpful when a synth is not hooked 
up, or someones wants to start the computer without speakup loading.

If you meant something else I'd like to have clarification as to why you 
were calling my information bogus  etc.
