List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: You don't need a pci card, even if they are nice. My sb16 worked just fine with both alsa and the kernel drivers; just remember that if you try the kernel drivers you have to put the parameters in your append statement. I'm sure it can be made to work eventually. Give it a rest and maybe it will suddenly dawn on you what is needed; that happens to me sometimes.
