List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: Hi Alex. What synth are you using? Have you tried speakup_synth= at the lilo boot prompt? If you are using the dectalk express, you would do speakup_synth=dectlk at the lilo prompt. Or in /etc/lilo.conf, you would do something like append speakup_synth=dectlk. This will apply to all of your installed vmlinuz kernel images. Hope this helps and good luck!
