It was a chore and a half. You need to have the relevant ssl libs installed (the patch should tell you all you need to know). Getting the customisable defines to work for other stuff, however, was a major headache I eventually gave up on. I'm glad there's a debian ssl-enabled package now. Don't know if there's a slackware one though. Geoff.
