List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: I use Suse version 7.1 and I have the same problem as Steve. Logged in as root I have sound everywhere. Otherwise it's as Steve indicates with his problem. I'm using the Sound Blaster Live card. Sounds great! I'll be following this string closely and perhaps there will be two happy campers when all is said and done.
