List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: The winmail.dat file is m$ electronic business card. So far nobody has come up with any exploit to ruin the address book. It contains extended information allowing a person to transmit complete contact information for the event that another winblows user adds them to the address book. Generally when m$ uses the extension .dat it is a bianary format that uses a tree structure for storage. For more complete information look up information on the format of the registry. That is the largest example of the format.
