Hi Ed,
I think you just need some simple setup files
to make lynx work quite nicely.
I will email you a copy of a file I use.
It should be called either .lynxrc
or lynx.config

Depending on your version of lynx,
one of these names works and the other may not.
Stand by, and I'll send you that file.
