Actually around 2004 or 5 when I got this DecTalk U S B Karl-and-I were on the phone, but he couldn't get me speech, although I did have it with an older DecPC. And yes, at least it had an exception dictionary. Actually orriginally when I did a search for something like, linux screen-readers dictionary Jupitor came up. But for me the part which would be harder, Karl explains Jupitor is a "line reader" not a screen-reader. But having all those helpful progress sounds while its booting, well, those were nice. Hart
