I cannot figure out if it is reading with a British/Chinese/Arabic/French accent. For example the word "the" is pronounced wrong. I am pretty cool with most synthesizers and run them at fast speeds. With SpeakUp, I have to drop to level 1 and sometimes read word per word even when the message is just text without command switches. -----Original Message----- From: speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca [mailto:speakup-bounces@braille.uwo.ca] On Behalf Of trev.saunders@gmail.com Sent: Friday, April 30, 2010 6:33 PM To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.; Chris Brannon Subject: Re: Installing Archlinux on a USB Drive Hi, espeak development doesn't seem to be particularly active, but I believe the author has said he'll atleast entertain ideas for improvement.
