I'm not sure that the global default should be set to USB speakers though, which is what would be needed to make espeakup use them. It is probably possible to put such a setting in /root/.asoundrc, and espeakup may not have a problem with it. Either way, Pulseaudio will need to be configured separately, although if it has already been without the USB audio, it won't use it by default, and configuration of Pulseaudio would then only be necessary if the default should be changed to the USB speakers. ~Kyle http://kyle.tk/ -- "Kyle? ...
