Hello David, Do you have the dtk-generic module enabled in your speechd.conf? Is there any suspicious message in speech-dispatcher's log? dtk-generic is a simple configuration file with command line invocation of the dectalk binary. See /etc/speech-dispatcher/modules/dtk-generic.conf. Let us know if you discover a problem in the default config file. Best regards Tomas
