Sorry if this is basic but have been reading and not found the 
answer.

I would like to know what sort of tasks are possible with linux and 
speech?

Can I use it for webb browsing and sound editing and for keeping 
customer records e.t.c.  What about ocr?

Is it the case that somethings work better under windows?
