Subject: squeze questions
Date: Wed, 9 Jun 2010 00:12:20 +0200	[thread overview]

Hi.
Ok, finally I give up, I've tried everything with lenny to get speakup working.
I installed that old kernel package, searched and searched the internet, and finally got hold of the speakup package for that kernel.
I modprobed speakup_soft, the same things, the module loads, linux stops responding to my keypresses, can't do anything.
I've tried to compile a new kernel, but that kernel with speakup doesn't start whatever I do.
I've selected everything I want to have, like modules and such, then I typed make all.
Have I missed anything?

So, since yesterday was probably the last day I hade speakup in lenny, I must use squeze, even though I dislike squeze.
My questions are as follows.
1. sound card.
How do I change from my built in sound card on the motherboard to my soundblaster audigy 2zs without alsaconf?
2. I want to have pc speaker support, but can't figure out how to get that working.

and finally, maybe a little off topic for this list, but is there any way to do so that I get the status cells to the left side of my braille display instead of the right?
It feels very uncomfortable to have them there.
/Kristoffer
