Hi All,
I wanted to get this out there in case people on the list might have a
use for it as I do. I was trying to find a way to automatically handle
my network management, so that as I roamed from network to network it
would automatically connect properly.
wicd, http://wicd.sf.net, seems to be able to do this. It has a very
accessible curses interface which provides the functionality to set up
networks, connect to them, etc. If I plug in my ethernet cable the
wireless connection is automatically switched off, and vice versa.
If this tool or others like it is already familiar to the speakup
community, I apologize. I just discovered it tonight and thought it
might be useful to people at large.
All the best,
Zack.
