Subject: No complete typing/spelling echo in Espeakup with direct=1
Date: Wed, 3 Jun 2009 12:34:53 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20090603103453.GB16893@grml> (raw)

Hi,
the subject tells the story: When I start Espeakup using the direct file
set to "1", I get no punctuation chars spoken when I type or spell by using
left/right arrow keys.
When direct is set to "0", and the characters file is used, everything
works OK:
However: Non-English users have to adjust the character file in order to
get the special characters of their language spoken correctly.
When I use Speechd-up with Espeak, everything's right, no matter what value
direct has.
Any ideas?
Hermann
