Got tired of it never booting the same way twice, and alsa and speech dispatcher crashing. Was getting so every upgrade messed audio up, and the only thing that worked was the Shane kernel from Etch. I'll stick with Etch for now, try Lenny when it's stable, and port to Ubuntu if Lenny continues giving me grief. I really hate that random bootup crap business. I can run Windows 95 for that. If I didn't feel the desperate need for bug and security fixes, I'd go the "Linux From Scratch" route and never upgrade again. Michael
