My problem is, I would like to sometimes use the ltlk driver, and sometimes the sftsyn driver. If I build them both into the 2.6.24 kernel, how do I select one, and how do I change to the other? Same questions if I build them both as modules: how to select one, how to change between them. There is no /proc/speakup/softsynth device to assist here. I want to build-in the ltlk driver, so as to hear bootup messages if I want to, so there is even a third pair of questions: If ltlk is built in, and sftsyn is a module, how then do I switch to sftsyn, and how do I switch back to ltlk? At the present time I have the ltlk built in and sftsyn as a module, but could do otherwise if it would be a better strategy. Many thanks -- and sorry to be so dense here.
