I know most folks around here are avid Windows Haters, but in case there are some hungry job defficient programmer types who would do Windows for 
money...  (grin)

I have been given permission to distribute the job announcement below, for the position vacated by Bob Alexander.  It doesn't mention Kurzweil 1000, but 
that was an oversight in the composition of the announcement, and K1K and K3K share alot of "core code".

Senior Software Engineer
Cambium Learning Technologies, a leading developer of curriculum materials and educational software, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer 
to assist in the development of Kurzweil 3000, an industry-leading solution for students and individuals with reading difficulties, in their Bedford, MA office.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:
ú	Bachelor\x19s degree required in Computer Science or related discipline.
ú	8 \x13 12 years experience as a professional Software Engineer in a Development capacity.
ú	In-depth knowledge of C++, Microsoft® Windows" system internals, the Win32 API, COM, ATL, and the .NET 2.0 application framework.
ú	Extensive experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual Studio 2005.
ú	Willingness and ability to be the technical lead and be involved in the decision-making process for internal tool use, configuration and 
maintenance of those tools, and oversight of the critical software build process.
ú	Experience converting between Win32 and .NET code a major plus.
ú	Experience bringing applications into compliance with Windows Vista a major plus.
ú	Experience in any or all of the following a plus: Computational Linguistics, Image Capture and Manipulation, TTS, TWAIN, OCR.
ú	Willingness and ability to interoperate with Quality Assurance, Documentation, and Technical Support staff.
ú	Excellent organizational habits and problem-solving skills.
ú	Excellent oral and written communication skills.
