Freedos is quite stable now, and you can run it from the cd as a live system, without having to install it, provided that your machine supports booting from cd-rom of course. Even if it doesn't, you could still probably boot from cd by using smart boot manager. Failing that, I do seem to recall the documentation for freedos stating that it is possible to make your own floppy images. You can get freedos from: http://www.freedos.org Now for the screen reader part of things, I believe provox should still be available from Chuck's site. In fact, let me check on that ... yes, it's still there: http://www.mhcable.com/~chuckh/provox7.zip . I can tell you with confidence that provox works nicely under freedos with a doubletalk pc, and a bns. Hth. If I had a set of Dos floppies and a Dos screen reader, I'd happily go that route. However, since I have neither, I'm pretty much stuck with having to do things this way unfortunately. - -- web site: http://www.romuald.net.eu.org gpg public key: http://www.romuald.net.eu.org/pubkey.asc skype: gregn1 (authorization required, add me to your contacts list first) - -- Free domains: http://www.eu.org/ or mail dns-manager@EU.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFxN877s9z/XlyUyARAmwlAJ4pJTIrDUElyGtop3oarUuHHdtjOwCgnuFd E+C8Yg5SOYLwRHnEaA2oq5Y= =iv44 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
